2nd Year GTAs

Policy Statement and Course Schedule -- Spring 2004

Provide a copy of your policy statement and course plan

Arrange for your class to be observed

• Be observed by Dave or Karin, if you have not already done so.
• Participate in a peer review and write an acknowledgment of the peer review process. (Former GTAs have found that these reports become valuable references in their professional portfolios.)

Have a file-review conference

• Compile one set of graded essays (including all student's revisions, preferably with your comments on both an early and a revised draft), if you have not already done so.

Assemble a teaching/professional 1xbet online casino (in progress):

• Compose a C.V. and statement of purpose
• Collect a variety of materials for your teaching 1xbet online casino (see hand-out and sample portfolios)

As part of a small group, demonstrate a teaching strategy or classroom activity to first-year teachers, if you have not already done so.

Provide sample essays (A-F) for grading sessions

Attend all meetings

• If illness or an unavoidable conflict prevents you from attending a meeting, please give one of us a written explanation of your absence. Chronic absence will be noted in your departmental teaching file.

Much of this semester's work is aimed at preparing your teaching/professional 1xbet online casino . During the spring semester, we will be scheduling individual final conferences with each one of you.
