Tom Sarmiento specializes in Filipinx American and queer 1xbet sports betting and culture and teaches courses in Asian American 1xbet sports betting ; Cultural Studies; film adaptation; and Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies. He is currently working on a book manuscript that examines representations of Filipinxs in the Midwest in popular culture, 1xbet sports betting , theater, and television from a queer, postcolonial perspective. His article, "The Empire Sings Back: Glee's Queer Materialization of Filipina/o America," appeared in the "Visual Culture and Race" special issue of MELUS: Multi-Ethnic 1xbet sports betting of the United States and offered a queer Filipinx Midwest critique of the popular television show Glee. In addition to his work in 1xbet sports betting & Cultural Studies, he is invested in helping students see writing as a nonlinear process and as a tool for social change.
